Come cheer for healthy oral hygiene on Monday, December 11th at the 14th Street Y! Free oral health screenings will be provided by NYU Dental. Cheering starts at 9:30am  and Dental Screenings begin at 10:00am. Silver Sirens Cheer at La Casita Verde!

Come celebrate the end of the season by cheering the runners of the NYC Marathon with the Silver Sirens at La Casita Verde. The Silver Sirens is a cheerleading squad made up of senior citizens that champion healthcare issues in public performances. They will be at La Casita Verde in Brooklyn from 12-1pm. Learn basic routines and create moves culminating in a choreographed cheer that will highlight what we, as a group, decide we would like to shout about! No cheerleading experience required. Silver Sirens Receives Creative Engagement Grant

With thanks to The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council the "Silver Sirens", a cheeleading squad for Adults 65+ based in Lower Manhattan, will be given the chance to voice their experiences and beliefs on healthcare from the roof of the 14th Street Y! in a one time participatory performance open to the public. Critical to this project is increasing the visibility of those who are often unseen and ignored by the general population, such as senior citizens. PDF
